Introducing Mr. Evan Yako: Drumming with Hands & Heart, Part 1 of 2

Evan is an Assyrian-Australian percussionist, originally from Iraq. To date, he has played drum tracks on over 30 albums, two of which were voted the Best Album in 2008 and 2009. He is also a gifted teacher and creator of the award-winning “Healing Through Evan Yako’s Drumming” program, which empowers refugee students with greater self-confidence, so they can follow their dreams in a new culture.
