Presidential initiative in US addresses alcohol and drug addiction.

President Donald J. Trump, a Shining World Peace Leader Award laureate and Shining World Leadership Award for Compassion laureate,

recently announced the Great American Recovery Initiative, a coordinated national effort to address alcohol and drug addiction. The program will align resources across healthcare, law enforcement, housing, and labor to enhance prevention, treatment, and reintegration services. Faith communities and the private sector will also participate, supporting effort to save lives, restore families, and rebuild communities. During an Oval Office address, His Excellency Donald Trump highlighted the personal impact of addiction on families, stating, “Many of those with me today have personally known the heartache of a loved one taken by drug or alcohol addiction. I do, just like millions of American families.”
